A marquee festival is not an event, it is a weekend. The equipment goes up once and then has to cope with three days of changing programme — and with changing people operating it. Sunday morning is not run by the same person who ran the band on Saturday night. So we build systems that you cannot break even without training.
Power is half the planning
There is rarely enough power at a marquee, and what there is gets shared between equipment, refrigeration, bar and kitchen. The beer lines and the cold rooms draw more than most people expect — and they switch on whenever they feel like it. We work out the demand in advance and say whether the supply is enough or whether a generator is needed. A tripped breaker in the middle of a song is the most expensive way to answer that question.
One space, many corners
A marquee is long. Whoever sits at the front by the stage hears plenty; whoever stands at the bar at the back often does not. Extra speakers further back solve that — but they have to be time-aligned, otherwise you hear everything twice. That is setup work during the build and costs nothing during the festival itself.
Weather and rigging
Equipment in a marquee is outdoors, even if it feels like being inside. Damp, temperature swings overnight and wind on the open sides are all planned for. Cables are run so that nobody trips over them and so that they are not lying in water when it rains. Nobody notices that afterwards — and that is precisely the point.
Something your own people can operate
If you do not want to pay for a technician throughout, we set the system up so that your volunteers can handle it: fixed settings, clearly labelled faders, a sheet of paper next to it. And a phone number that gets answered at the weekend.

Tell us openly what the budget is. Then we plan towards it, instead of offering you something that does not fit. At a marquee festival there are many places where saving makes sense — and a few where it does not, and we will tell you those too.
As a rule yes, otherwise three days would not be workable. That needs a tent that can be closed and somebody to lock it. We settle that beforehand.
Often it makes sense — many bands have their own system and their own routine. Then we look after everything else and make sure the two fit together rather than running side by side.
Greater Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland are the norm; the rest of Austria is possible. Travel costs are in the quote, not in the small print.
